Hi All,

First post, go easy on me. Is it possible to get OSX to participate in Window's IPSec transport policies? I don't mean VPN either. Windows has a policy that it can set for any windows computer in the domain that can optionally encrypt all traffic to and from all computers in the network, and also not reply to any computers that won't negotiate this encryption. I'd like to have OSX participate in some way, but I just wanted to check with the experts.

Since Mac OS X 10.2, Apple ships built-in IPSec support. It is based on the KAME code also used by FreeBSD. There is no graphical user interface. Instead, one has to use the setkey command and the racoon key exchange daemon.

Third-party GUIs for the native IPSec are starting to become available. Among them are:

VaporSec
