pman Posted September 18, 2006 Share Posted September 18, 2006 I just installed onto a Dell SC420 using the installer that includes the 10.4.6 patches. The installation appeared to work properly but now the computer won't boot up into OS X. What happens is that it looks like it attempts to boot up, showing all of the text scrolling up the screen "Loading HFS+ File..." but then the computer automatically restarts itself and does the process again. Rammjet Posted September 18, 2006 Share Posted September 18, 2006 Which patches did you select in the Customize window of the installer? You should have chosen only Intel, not AMD. Choose SSE2 or SSE3, not both, depending upon the capability of your processor.
