Hello guys,

its good to join a forum where I will hopefully be able to learn something.

I really want to try and take my new Lenova i7 notebook and installed OSX on it however I really want to be able to duel book just in case.

Obvious first questions include is this possible and if so, what sort of compatability can I expect ? presumable the overall experience of running OSX on this machine regardless of how powerful it is, will not be the same as on a macbook pro ?

Hopefully someone can offer me some advise / help.

Cheers

Hi :)

Typically, installing Mac OS X on a desktop is easier than on a notebook. When possible, I always recommend to try on the desktop before, but this one can't change your goal. I also think that a Desktop can become a Macintosh, but not really for the notebook. Apple offers something more in its notebooks.

Attach some specifications about your notebook, I mean principally: CPU and Graphics card.

thanks for the reply, the CPU is Intel Core i7 2670QM (sandy bridge 4 core) and the graphics card is an Nvidia 520M but also Intel HD3000 (the laptop has Optimus which allows me to select the dedicated graphic card when I want..
