Hi all,

I'll try to be as thorough as I can, but please let me know if you need more info:

General Specs:

OSX 10.6.8 (initially installed from disk image via Kakewalk, then updated via Apple)

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3L

CPU: Core 2 Quad Q6600

Graphics: GeForce 8600 GTS

Problem:

I got an unbranded BCM94322MC and a mini PCIE -> PCIE adapter which I had heard should work OOB. When I startup, the card is recognized as Airport and vendor Apple by System Profiler and Network Utility (pics attached), but will not turn on. Trying to turn it on leads to system hanging for a couple seconds then nothing happening. Also, anything related to airport in the system (eg. opening the menu bar airport dropdown, opening network panel in system prefs) causes the system to hang for a bit before actually working.

I checked the system log and found it looping through this, over and over, with a bit of pause between each time:

May 1 16:29:28 Arshans-Mac-Pro com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.configd[333]): Job appears to have crashed: Segmentation fault

Also, fwiw, I tried the unbranded BCM94322MC in my Macbook (older 13" 2.4Ghz core 2 duo, 10.6.8) and it also wouldn't turn on there, although maybe thats to be expected, since not branded?

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
