I recently bought the parts to build a hackintosh but when i tried to install the os it has an ebios read error and then it has a kernel panic saying

panic(cpu 0 caller 0x55aa33): "Unable to find driver for this platform: \"ACPI\".\n"@/Extra/builds/xnu

/xnu-1456.1.26/iokit/Kernel/IO

PlatformExpert.cpp:1393

ps i am using the ###### cd as a bootloader

i boot cd as my boot loader

Will try hazard when i can get hold of some working dvds to burn it to. Thankyou HUSABER

P.S my config is

Intel Core i3 2120 3.3GHz

WD 250GB

Samsung SH-D163C 16x DVD-ROM SATA Optical Drive

4GB DDR3 1333MHz Memory Module

Gigabyte GA-H61M-S2PV H6

Use Nawcom's ModCD instead of i-boot. Join Kexts.com and download it from here: http://www.osx86.net/view/2298-nawcom_modcd_0.3.2.html

The HD 2000 has no support. You will get VESA graphics out of it - no resolution change, no acceleration. It will work for now, but you will want a better card eventually.

brilliant i did expect the card hd 2000 to be crappy I was under the impression that it was hd 3000, found a supported evga card @ ebuyer for £21 so will order off for that

just another quickie if i use the NawCom boot cd can i easily upgrade to osx lion or will i need a different solution

The way Lion gets installed is not a matter of upgrading Snow Leopard. You use any working Mac installation to build a Lion installer and then install that to your hard drive. I always recommend keeping two installations of OSX anyway. If you install one and it has problems, you can always boot the other to work on the first.

racer master i saw you were online and i wondered if you had any ideas

it says cant find driver for this platform what does that mean

i just tried using niresh lion it said install failed but when i rebootedd it loaded upto the apple logo screen but then it has a crossed out circle above the apple logo and it nevers stops spinning
