rjkeepin7 Posted March 30, 2012 Share Posted March 30, 2012 I have recently replaced the motherboard on my computer and reinstalled OSX 10.6.8 onto a new hard drive using ###### and ######. all things work fine except one thing which is the graphics. it is an ATI radeon hd4850 and i ticked all the possible things in ###### to get this graphics card to work. the update worked fine and everything boots fine but when i go into system profiler it says it is ATI but doesnt display the model number and only displays a total of 3mb vram instead of the 512mb it is supposed to display. and also the resolution is stuck at 1024x768 and i cannot change it to anything else. this isnt a problem at the moment as im only using a 15 inch monitor that displays this resolution but when i put in a friends 22" DVI monitor it doesnt change. can anybody help me with fixing this. specs are Gigabyte GA-G31M-S2L motherboard Ati radeon hd4850 Core2Duo e8400 3.0GHZ can anybody help me please Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/277615-gigabyte-ga-g31m-s2l-and-ati-4850-help-please/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
