I am new to this forum, I present: My name is Alex, I'm from Alicante (Spain) and took a long time fiddling with my laptop(eMachinesD730) to install Mac OSX.I The hardwareis as follows: CPU: Corei3370M(busratio: 18) Ram: 8GB(extended) Graphics:Intel HD Graphics Integrated with the Intel Motherboard Chipset: IntelHM55 Express Wifi:Atheros Wireless Network AdapterAR5B97 Ethernet:Broadcom NetLink (TM )GigabitEthernet Base System: Windows7 HomePremium OEM 64b i boot 3.2.0+Snow LeopardRetailDVD I've installed Snow Leopard10.6.3, the graphic seems not to work, I will try some kext that I just download and I tell you, I had problems with the cpu before,when I need a lot of cpushutdown (combo installation) I want to upgrade to10.6.8 but I am unable to give the cpu problem, I tried with the kext nullcpupowermanagement and nothing. ZØØT Posted March 26, 2012 Share Posted March 26, 2012 You will need a working OSX to perform the update to 10.6.8. There are tutorials available for that. Some files need to be manually installed to make it work. Use a cloning tool such as CCC to back-up your working drive and to apply all the needed patches. I always use Nawcoms CD as it is more versatile than most others. Shared memory graphics seems to be a problem if you don't have a patched DSDT. Browse the tutorial section here they may have something you can use.
