Hi,

I would like to install Hackontish and maintain my existing copy of Windows 7. Right now I'm using a SSD with Windows 7 and a HDD with only data. Let me explain what I did:

Firstly, I moved all the data from the HDD to an external HDD in order to use the HDD for Hackontish. I then unplugged the SSD and made the sure the HDD is connected to SATA0. After that I followed this guide step by step, up to and including step 9. Lastly, I plugged in the SSD in SATA4 (or any SATA port after SATA0).

As you can see, I wasn't able to complete the guide. Let's say the installation in step 9 is just finished and I've plugged in the SSD. The system reboots and I press a key to get to the Chameleon boot selection screen. I'm then able to select Hackontish as well as Windows 7.

Selecting Hackontish: When I boot normally I get the 'forbidden sign', when I boot with the flags "-v -f -x" I end up with the infamous "Still waiting for root device".

Selecting Windows 7: I see the Window 7 logo for one second and then the system restarts. However, when I turn turn RAID back on (it had to be turned off in the guide) Windows 7 does start up normally. The RAID setting doesn't matter for Hackontish: it doesn't boot in either case.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.
