( the 8139 runs on every O/S that I have played with for the last 20 years ). I am using laptop with Realtek 8139 / 810X (Onboard) network card. For kext installation i use Kext Utility. Shaker Posted April 9, 2012 Share Posted April 9, 2012 thanks for quick reply bro, i tried this but now luck, maybe i did something wrong while installing them. i removed the original kext from "IONetworking family.kext/contents/plugins" and replaced it with the one i downloaded, and then installed it again using kext utility. so was it the right thing to do?? or i missed something? phsilver Posted August 2, 2012 Share Posted August 2, 2012 Hi... I finally got my 8139 working into LION 10.7.4, but without Internet. In the diagnostic dialog box, only the firsts 3 lights are green. This is what I did: I deleted all inside the plug in folder of IONetworkingFamily.kext but realtek related kext. I added the IOPciMacth code for my card: 0x813910ec Repair permissions and reboot. Once restarted, a new network connection was discovered. Now, I'm fighting with configuration issue. That is the problem... Whatever I put into Router item, the third light goes red Whatever I put into DNS server: Internet light remains red Any a clue will be welcomed.
