mhoppi
Hello guys, i tried to install iAtkos L2 on my machine but after the Bootscreen (Apple Icon) it just shows a white/grey background with a cursor that I can move. It idles at this point. If I boot in Verbose Safemode it shows at the very end "Still waiting for root device"... It boots up fine, loads all the kexts but then at the very end it looses the connection to my harddrive... Any Idea what I might have to change? I really appreciate your help, thanks! thelittleblackbox
Hi Mhoppi, any joy on installing? I to have the same mainboard, after many tries have now been able to install iAtkos L2, using i3 2105 with HD3000 and 4GB ram.. 1, update to the lasted BIOS 3705 has fixed my issues with hard stopping- BIOS defaults. if using hd3000 set video memory to 384mb (for 4GB RAM) ( there are other setting you can change but you can try them later). 2, install Windows 7 64bit, once installed, updated and install all drivers (from ASUS CD), then download dsdtse for windows to extract dsdt save file dsdt.dsl as it will fail to compile and not create dsdt.aml. copy file on to usb will need later. 3 Now we can install iAtkos L2 - will boot from cd and it seem to hang for about 5 mins, after 5-10 mins. installer will start. 4 Use DiskUtil.. and create 2 partions second one for messing around on to start with. 5 Options, default boot loaded, deselect enable graphic enabler(this option for HD3000 only), (not sure if needed but selected sata achi and non-achi), no sound as this will give KP errors, add NIC in wired networking. Install should take about 16mins. 6 Once on OSX desktop, change settings for busratio=31 (i3 2105 cpu more stable less KP's) 7 Download DSDTSE for OSX and compile file created in windows, this will will create a dsdt.aml file. Copy file to Extra folder. 8 Please note if HD3000 (0x0112) then replace files AppleIntelHDGraphics.kext and AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext from www.osx86.net please note after re-boot display will not work on VGA connector need DVI. Please let me know if this works. (i'm still new to Hackingtosh).
