Dimitree
Hello I'm trying to install iDeneb 1.6 on my laptop: Acer Aspire 5536G CPU: DualCore AMD Athlon X2 QL-64 (supports: x86, x86-64, MMX, 3DNow!, SSE, SSE2, SSE3) Chipset: AMD 780G/780V/790GX, AMD K11 GPU: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530/4570 Audio: Realtek ALC888/1200 @ ATI SB700 (and 1366x786 screen) Network: Atheros AR5009 802.11a/g/n Wireless Other: AHCI Sata controller, 1gB ram DDR2 I've read somewhere that some people managed to install iDeneb on this laptop, but the sound and the wireless are not working, but I don't mind now, since I have a usb wireless adapter that is working on Leopard, and a usb Soundcard for music..working too. this is what I've done so far: used Acronis Disk Director to create a partition for leopard, 100gB primary/active. The HD is now divided in 2 partitions: WIN7 (primary) and MAC (primary/active). Run the installer DVD, it load fine, then I used disk utility to initialize the MAC partition, as extended (journaled). Then I select only the things I may need: Italian language, 9.8.0 Voodoo based Kernel, ATI video drivers. It installs fine, but when finished, it reboots and it won't start. If I remove the dvd after installation, I get this screen at the boot: If I keep the dvd in, I get the setup procedure again. If I use a boot cd (Darwin/x86 boot v5.0.132 - chameleon v2.0-RC5 r650), and boot Verbose, I get this: If I use another boot cd, I get almost the same message. If I use iDeneb v1.1 (10.5.7), I get the same results. What could I try? many thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/276923-issue-with-acer-5536/ Share on other sites
