Joseph Goés Posted September 14, 2006 Share Posted September 14, 2006 Hi Everyone, I menaged to install OS X 10.4.6 on the spec below AMD 4800+ X2 AM2 Asus M2N32-SLi Deluxe 2GB OCZ 667MHz Emprex DVD+/-RW 200GB Maxtor HD PNY 7800 GT 500 Watt PSU Also installed Acronis Disk Director Suite and Acronis OS Selector Made a 40GB Partition for OS X, installed it through VMWare, Rebooted, Acronis OS Selector recognised both OS's (Windows and OS X), double clicked on OS X it did some script scrolling and finally got this Error/Panic. Am I doing something wrong? Just to make it clear I did install all the AMD Patches included to the DVD while I was installing OS X. If there was a choice of SSE2 or SSE3, you should have chosen only one, depending on the capability of your processor. dilator Posted September 23, 2006 Share Posted September 23, 2006 I know in the goatsecx ISO (10.4.6) you should not choose to install the SSE3 patches (even though the X2 has SSE3) if you wish to use both cores. I don't know what happens if you install them and choose CPUS=1, but it should work ok without (not much needs rosetta after all??) I tried both 10.4.6 & 10.4.7 and both come to that screen. What did I do wrong ?
