Hi Everyone, I menaged to install OS X 10.4.6 on the spec below

AMD 4800+ X2 AM2

Asus M2N32-SLi Deluxe

2GB OCZ 667MHz

Emprex DVD+/-RW

200GB Maxtor HD

PNY 7800 GT

500 Watt PSU

Also installed Acronis Disk Director Suite and Acronis OS Selector

Made a 40GB Partition for OS X, installed it through VMWare, Rebooted, Acronis OS Selector recognised both OS's (Windows and OS X), double clicked on OS X it did some script scrolling and finally got this Error/Panic.

Am I doing something wrong?

Just to make it clear I did install all the AMD Patches included to the DVD while I was installing OS X.

The ISO I have is Mac.OS.X.Tiger.10.4.6.X86-HOTiSO

If there was a choice of SSE2 or SSE3, you should have chosen only one, depending on the capability of your processor.

Try booting with the following parameters after hitting F8:

-v cpus=1 platform=x86pc idlehalt=0

I know in the goatsecx ISO (10.4.6) you should not choose to install the SSE3 patches (even though the X2 has SSE3) if you wish to use both cores. I don't know what happens if you install them and choose CPUS=1, but it should work ok without (not much needs rosetta after all??)

Dear Sir,

I tried your suggestion but no luck.

I tried both 10.4.6 & 10.4.7 and both come to that screen. What did I do wrong ?

My computer is

Centrino Due Core

1GB of RAM

Many thanks
