i1sam Posted September 14, 2006 Share Posted September 14, 2006 I have just received my macbook from apple repair center send to them August 19 and i received it Sept 9, with repair sheet noted that they replaced my week 19 logic board with week 31 and the top case cover... In just nearly five days of regular use (browsing and keynote) and update quicktime and itunes to the latest update.... its starting to shutdown randomly again.... this day (its already 4 pm) it already RSD 4 timess... I have read apple forum and there already acknowledge the problem and i did send my unit to them for repair. But now it is slowly re occuring again... I read other forum, apple also have a new redesigned heatsink for this prob... ive call long distance again to apple repair and they say mine did not include the new heatsink... and advice me to observed the RSD... if this will go on more frequent than random... it much be on its way again to Apple Repair Center... wow.... one instance, i am doing a keynote presentation and its RSD.... my participants say... is that the new Apple.. why its auto shut and my keynote presentation is not yet finished.. I said to them... its the old model... bad battery... shhooott... this is not going to well for me... I have sent again my MacBook to Apple Care and Personally requested to please replace the LB with the new redesigned heatsink to eliminate RSD... i am losing faith on Apple just for this... Why dont they just recall all those RSD Macbook and replace it.. I'm very dissapointed with Apple over this issue, and I'm afraid to send it in, because of the massive delays.
