StarForge
I bought a USB mic to get audio in working, but I was crushed when after plugging in the mic it didn't appear in the System Preferences under Sound or anywhere... Does anyone own a Logitech USB Desktop Microphone or perhaps knows what I need to do to get this working? This is the link to the product page: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products...,CONTENTID=6776 Thanks in advance! EDIT I forgot to mention that in System Profiler it has identified the MIC here: AK5370: Version: 0.01 Bus Power (mA): 500 Speed: Up to 12 Mb/sec Manufacturer: AKM Product ID: 0x0001 Vendor ID: 0x0556 Having noticed that, I see someone else has this problem too http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...c=22778&hl= Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/27616-logitech-usb-desktop-microphone/ Share on other sites
StarForge
Ok solved the problem! After reading this http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=21032 I found on the JaS 10.4.7 DVD the Creative USB Drivers which I installed using Pacifist. Upon rebooting, my USB mouse no longer responded, but I managed to use the keyboard to check System Preferences... which still said there was no USB mic... I downloaded the Intel USB 2.0 package from http://developer.apple.com/hardwaredrivers...d/usbdebug.html and installed it. After rebooting, my mouse was back and the mic was identified! pat_ty
I just bought Logitech USB Desktop Microphone and couldn't get it to work. You said that the driver is on the JaS 10.4.7, but I couldn't find it. Where is that file located? StarForge
Just a quick correction, I said 'Creative' USB drivers when I was meant to say 'Soundblaster' USB drivers. Hope that hasn't confused or mislead anyone, oops! pat_ty
Yeah!!!! Finally I've got the audio in. The sound is so great. It removes the background noise, so all you hear, is what you say into it. Thank you so much SartForge for leading me to this Mic.
