aidanski
I was hoping to get some advice on my system. I downloaded "Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 SSE2 SSE3 Intel AMD by Hazard" and when the DVD boots it crashes. I have also tried using -f -v but it didn't make any difference. My specs are: Board: Asrock N68-VS3 FX Graphics: ATi Radeon HD 5400 CPU: AMD Athlon II x2 RAM: Some generic 4GB DDR3 stick. So has anyone had experience with any of these components, and what BIOS options should I change? Thanks Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/275695-advice-on-amd-with-hcl-1061-2/ Share on other sites
PookyMacMan
See if you can set SATA to AHCI in your BIOS. That's about it. -f is an old command used in Leo/Tiger, it won't be of much use in SL. You will also need to take a picture of your issue when it happens. Personally, I would recommend using a retail disc (bought or downloaded). It will give you the least amount of fits. I have a retail method in my sig. Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/275695-advice-on-amd-with-hcl-1061-2/#findComment-1794604 Share on other sites
aidanski
OK thank you, I have looked at your guide and it seems quite good so I will try again and if it refuses to work follow your method.
