I'm sorry for my English because it's not really good, but i'll try to describe the situation.

I have Celeron 2,4 MHz and the Intel 845GE chipset. I have Marklar-Tiger ISO patched with the help of Generic_OSx86_Install_DVD Patcher Release1.

During the installation in -v mode it writes the following:

kld_load_memory() failed for module com.apple.NVDAResman

Failed to load extension com.apple.nvidia.nv30hal.

display: family specific matching fails

RTC: invalid device register map

RTC: invalid device register mapCouldn't alloc class "NVDANV30HAL"

AppleIntelPIIXPATA: ICH4 ATA/100 (CMD 0x170, CTR 0x374, IRQ 15, BM 0xf008)

What's up? How can I fix it and what I need to do?

Did you connect your HD in the IDE/PATA connectors or in SATA, other?

From the info on the screen it appears that you have a device or devices only in the second channel.

Oh... You know, I'm always having troubles with such technical information. I have my HD on the primary master and my cd/dvd is on the secondary slave. Is it that you mean?

Yes.

Did you try with platform=X86PC ?

Yes, I did. But i got another portion of errors 'couldn't find the drivers for X86PC platform' or something like that.

Try setting up your install HD as your first boot device. Push F11 on start up to get into boot menu and select DVD. Had the same problem and worked for me.

I tried but nothing helped ;)

Does anyone know some other ways to fix this problem? ;)

Not sure I can help here but the advice from macgirl and aglagl is right - you should double-check your IDE setup.

Is the HDD really on the Primary channel? Check the system board connector for identification.

Is it set to C/S (cable-select) or Master or Slave? (Jumper on the back of the drive itself)

If it's set to C/S is it on the correct connector on the ribbon cable? This can cause all sorts of problems. Make sure you have a newer 80-conductor cable. Typically the drive should be on the end, or black (master) connector, not the grey (slave) one. If you have a blue connector free chances are the whole cable is reversed. The blue end is for the system board.

The DVD drive - you said it's Secondary Slave. Do you have a Secondary Master on the same cable? What sort of device is it? Are the jumpers on the device(s) set correctly? Did you check the cable?

You've probably done all of this but it's worth checking again. And then once more - after a good night's sleep.
