benjo645 Posted September 13, 2006 Share Posted September 13, 2006 when i boot up osx, right beofre the dock loads, a window with a red octagon and an exclamation point pops up saying, USB overcurrent Notice!A usbdevice is currently drawing too much power. The hub it is attached to will be deactivated. it has to do with my 160gb iomega external harddrive, which has all my music on it. IF hteir is any way around this, it would be nice to know. im running a pentium celeron d 1.8, and i only have support for sse2. i used the jas 10.4.7 install Help me please!! Ross Chang Posted September 13, 2006 Share Posted September 13, 2006 I am experience the exact same error message. But the cause of mine is my Logitech Optic Wheel Mouse. Whenever I leave my lappy on for a prolong duration, it somehow switch off the usb mouse, and when I move the mouse pointer with the TrackPoint, the mouse powerup with the above mentioned error message twice.
