Jak08 Posted September 13, 2006 Share Posted September 13, 2006 I'm looking at buying the intel core 2 duo 2.66ghz for my iMac 20" because my local apple dealer says that they can't do procesor upgrades, is this because it is soldered? If no my question is, will the 2.66 work, and better yet will a retail version of any of the core 2 duos work or are apple's modified?
