Foxic
Can you disable IntelHD graphics through your BIOS? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/275055-intel-hd-3000-performance/#findComment-1789378 Share on other sites
guitmz
Yes, I'm able to turn off HD 3000 on bios, why asking? Just saw this http://macmanx86.blogspot.com/ (chimera 1.7 changelog) and it seems to enable GT 555M by default.. wonder if will work 0x10DE0DCD, "GeForce GT 555M" Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/275055-intel-hd-3000-performance/#findComment-1789393 Share on other sites
Foxic
If you turn off IntelHD graphics you will use your Nvidia card by default See here for your video card if chimera 1.7 doesn't work: http://www.insanelym...threaded&start= The NVIDIA GeForce GT 550M is based on the same GF106 core as the GeForce GT 445M but offers slightly higher clock rates and support for DDR3 running at 900 MHz. The other features like PureVideo HD (VP4), 3DVision, HD Audio support, are identical to the GT445M. Foxic
You will need the drivers in that thread I linked you to for snow leopard, lion should give you native support using chimera and GraphicsEnabler=Yes Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/275055-intel-hd-3000-performance/#findComment-1789566 Share on other sites

Foxic
That gives you some time to do a bit of research. The more you read now, the less you will be confused later. If you have no access to a mac you may need to use iAtkos to install Lion. Usually you would use snow leopard to make the lion install media as boot disks don't really exist for lion as it is only distributed via the app store or USB key. If you use iAtkos, there is a customise tab in which you can install kexts for non apple hardware. I strongly advise you to disable EVERYTHING so you get as close to a retail install as possible. Retail installs are much simpler than distros like iAtkos when troubleshooting later on. guitmz
What I did: On my 10.6.8 hackintosh I have a 10.7.2 DMG. I've: - Mounted the Lion DMG - prepared the usb key - opened ##### - selected Lion app and laptop support. - It did created the Lion USB w/o errors.. Question is: will this work? Because most places says i need retail app under applications folder or retail usb and i dont have any, just lion DMG Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/275055-intel-hd-3000-performance/#findComment-1789756 Share on other sites
