The components have been bought specifically for purpose and using this method http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=256798&hl=optiplex&fromsearch=1 it has been a general success and I have to give the whole community credit as its a awesome little movement. I do however have one issue. Although the install method used a VoodooHDA.kext the system displays that the audio is not built in, this being said 2 of the other kexts did not function but this has been resolved by using the kext helper to install and is now resolved. When I tried to use this method for audio I have not had any success. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestion about getting the audio functioning post install? Any help greatly appreciated. pmcalinden Posted January 24, 2012 Author Share Posted January 24, 2012 Scratch the above, I connected a 3.5mil audio cable to the front headphone jack, changed the sound output in the system pref and to the back of the bravia and sweet I am up and running.
