tobiastimpe Posted January 2, 2012 Share Posted January 2, 2012 Hey guys, I am currently trying to install Lion on my Dell Inspiron N411z laptop. All I currently get is "Still waiting for root device" when I try to boot from a USB stick. This seems to be a problem with fakesmc.kext since I tried to boot without it and at least got a "Got boot device". I am using version 2.5 and the Chimera bootloader. I also tried copying fakesmc.kext from /E/E/ to /S/L/E/. ACPI is of course enabled in the BIOS. Anybody got an idea what to do?
