Hi all,

I'm new to iAtkos and have been trying to install S3 on my Inspiron 1520. I've installed S3 on a partitioned drive, giving it 40GB's of space.

The installation progresses without a problem but when I come to boot up my iATKOS for the first time I'm presented with a "need to restart" message on my computer.

Using -v I’ve been able to determine that it’s an ElliottForceLegacyRTC panic.

I've checked the MD5, searched google, I've used these forums and other well known forums to try and resolve the issue.

I‘ve been unable to enter single user mode when booting up the Mac OSX partition so I loaded up the installation CD in SU mode and entered in the following to remove the kext from installation.

mount -uw /

rm -rf /system/library/extensions/ElliottForceLegacyRTC.kext

exit

When I completed the installation I was still unable to load OSX due to the same error. I've downloaded a program called MacDrive so that I could access the MAC partition from my Windows 7 OS. The ElliottForceLegacyRTC kext doesn't exist anywhere on the drive.

I’ve also checked my DSDT according to instructions on another post and it seems my ACPI table is correct.

I've attached a number of screenshots showing system spec and the error.

I would be grateful for any help that can be offered as this is driving me round the bend!

Thanks!
