SandroWylie
Hello, I tried so many times to install MacOSx on my Notebook. It's an HPG62 with an Intel Core i3-350M processor and an Ati Radeon 5470 HD graphics card. Everest displays the mainboard as unknown so I can't give you informations about that. First problem: I have an "Snow Leopard Retail Image" which has a size of 6.13 GB. It's too big for one DVD. Can I split the install DVD to two DVD's? Or can I use an USB-Stick for the install? If yes, how I have to do this? Second prolem: Which boot CD should I use? Is it enough to burn the ##### image on a DVD or have I to do something more? I'm so sorry for my bad English - I am from Germany. Thank you.
osteneightysix
You could always pick up dual-layer DVDs which hold 8.5 GB of data if you have a DVD burner that will support it. If you have a mac (or hackintosh) already, yes, you could mount the iso and use a program such as CarbonCopyCloner to transfer the content to a USB drive. As for getting the DVD/USB to boot, you can look through the guide here: http://tonymacx86.bl...ac-os-x-on.html
