marosluuce
Hi, I was wondering if anyone else has had problems with the japanese input. All the other input methods work, except for Japanese. Ironicly that's the only input, besides English, that I need. Right now I'm running 10.4.7 on an AMD64 and everything is working like clockwork (after extensive tweaking). If any other information is necessary to help solve this problem, please let me know. Thanks, marosluuce Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/27357-japanese-input/ Share on other sites
kess
Are you sure you selected Japanese when you installed OS X? I checked it when I installed it and it works like a charm for me. I'm not sure exactly what kind of problem you're having, but it may be worth it to put the install disc back in and make sure Japanese is selected. marosluuce
I'm 95% sure that I did that. Actually, what I did was only select Japanese when I installed languages, because that was the only one I needed. I have even tried re-mounting the cd and then re-installing the /System/Installation/Packages/japanese.pkg, but no luck. Though perhaps a reformat and re-install is the best method.
