Compgeke
I installed Leopard tonight on my Dell Latitude D820 using Leppy700m's way (I would've used SL but no SL install disk). It installed fine, everything works great, the GMA950, the audio, the Sierra Wireless MC5720 and the smart card reader (detected anyways), however I can not get the Dell Wireless 1397 to work. I've tried the bmc43xx_enabler.sh already, and got nothing. Under Xubuntu 11.10 the card works perfectly, same with Windows XP Pro. I have a feeling I might need to find a different wireless card since this one I've hated all along, Linux 2.6 kernel issues, random slowness, etc. I know someone that might have a card so I'll ask them if they have anything that I can use. LatinMcG
problem if u get AR5B91 is it works in 10.6.3 and higher. not 10.5 BCM94321mc works but linux needs from lan to dload driver (in linux terminal sudo apt-get install firmware-b43-installer ) the older atheros AR5BXB62 or AR5BXB72 (apple original) didnt work in my dell due to pci-e bus issues, but AR5B91 does in 10.6.3 or higher. and linux too my recommendation is to make a usb 10.6 install disk (10.6.3 retail google it) and get a dsdt from osxlatitude.com btw the problem is the smbios.plist needs the proper info. also leppys way is modded in some files. best is retail.
