tobiastimpe Posted November 10, 2011 Share Posted November 10, 2011 Hey guys, I've got a Dell Inspiron 14z (latest model, N411z) here, which sent to me to review for my German blog (http://tobisblog.de) and since the software on it (Windows 7 with all sorts of Dell stuff on it) basically sucks, I'm trying to install Lion on it. This Dell laptop has 2 3.0 ports and 1 USB 3 2.0 port. I tried doing the normal method, Chimera and "Extra Lion" on the USB stick, put it in the USB 2.0 port, but I get "Still waiting for root device" which I think is odd since I'm booting from USB, hence not needing any special drivers.
