Firstly i like to thanks MaLdOn for helping me with me DSDT!

I almost gave up cause i can't figure out why i'm not able to install it on my pc. Until a wk ago i came across a thread (can't recall where) saying that SL cannot be install on wd green hard drive (which i bought n trying for so long). Eventually i installed W7 on my Green hd in AHCI firstly then install SL on my old hd. Before i install SL i've disconnected the W7 hd firstly.

Install method:

1) ##### + ##### method

2)At step after installed SL n update , i switch off the pc n connect my W7 hd

3) Reboot into SL run ##### again n restart

The boot screen will show SL- New Vol-Ntfs(W7). in other words i can dual boot. Sleep is all working.

My pc specs is Acer Aspire M5800

Processor : Intel Core 2 Quad 8400 (2.66GHz)

Memory : DDR3 800/1066/1333MHz 3GB

Graphic Card : Zotac GeForce GT220 1GB

Hard Disk : SL-Seagate 750GB & W7- WD Green 1TB

Intel® G43 Express Chipset

Microsoft Wireless Desktop 3000

Cheers.

Hi I was woondering if you could be so kind in helping a noob. I have a acer aspire m3800 pco and I have found one of you post on this forum regarding a dsdt file. I know you have a m5800 acer but we have both the same motherboards and processors. I have been trying to do a clean install of lion (I'm not sure what u are running at the moment?) using ##### tool. I've installed lion successfully to my hard drive and it boots up. But I haven't been able to find a dsdt file for our motherboard. I found a tread on tonymac forum on how to make your own dsdt file using Dsdt editor and a patch I found for a acer aspire m5800. I think I successfully did this but when it comes to installing the file with ##### I don't know what Installation type I need i.e ticking the custom build? I followed a typical one as discribed on tonymac forum but when I rebooted I lost the use of my mouse and keyboard, so I had to start again with my install.

So I was wondering if you could help. Do you have a working dsdt file for our motherboards. And can you advise what to select in #####?

I would really apriciate it

RegardsRyan

Hi @ryan_dugdale,

I apologize firstly for the late reply. I will attach my dsdt as requested. I actually installed SL w 10.6.8 update on my pc, as for ##### this is what I've chosen. U could also try using ##### if userdsdt did not work. Good luck!
