Hi all,

I'm trying to install Lion on my Dell Studio 1558 with following specs:

4GB DDR3 RAM

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 (512 MB)

Intel® 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset Family 4 Port SATA AHCI Controller

Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6200 AGN

Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller

These information where taken by using Everest on Windows 7

I've used, for installation, OS X Lion via ##### (USB method)

The initial problem that hanged me into the initial booting screen (the one in gray with the apple logo) has been resolved by entering the parameter PCIRootUID=1

After about 15/20 minutes the OSX is installed; I'm also able to boot it by using the boot loader that is on the USB ##### pen drive, also the network works; infact after booting I can browse the web and download the ##### tool.

The problems I've are:

1. Screen Resolution is 1024x768 and cannot be changed

2. The Internal Fan is at its maximum and noise is very annoying it seems that I'm heavy loading the CPU but it's not true because I'm not running anything.

I don't understand what modules to install from the ##### tool, I've tried to install some of these and the only result I've had was to hang the computer with the need to reinstall everything from the scratch. (now I'm using Carbon Copy Cloner in order to avoid reinstallations i.e. I've two partitions one is the mirror of the other so I can test one and if something goes wrong I restore the working one on the failing one).

Could you please help me to understand wich are the correct kext to be applied on my laptop ? As on the forum I can find Dell Studio 1558 but they are' using Core i5 or i7.

Thank you, your help or suggestions will be very appreciated.
