I used distros a few years back iDeneb, Kalyway, iAtkos they were ok. I would definitely recommend installing a retail copy of Snow leopard now though - distros are kind of the "old" way of doing things - there also illegal. Also that computer should be more than capable of running Snow leopard. There no need to run Leopard, unless you just want to.

To get you going in the right direction:

You'll need a copy of the actual snow leopard dvd.

Since your on AMD you'll need a modified boot CD to get you started, heres the link to the one I used.

The above mod cd has a script that should automatically detect and install your network cards during the install of nowleopard - wireless too depending on what chipset your wireless uses - and for your sound look into VoodooHDA

I have been "hackintoshing" since Tiger, but I have been out of the loop for a little over a year up until recently. If you have any questions feel free to ask Me, I'll do the best I can to help.

BTW. considering that you have an AMD Processor, Nawcom is the largest resource for AMD related goodies. Heres the link to his site (unfortunately its down for updates atm, but it will be back up soon)
