hey everyone, ive been trying to install os x on this laptop for some time now and what a nightmare. its an acer aspire 5600, and yes i did use search. i found this old thread on this laptop after a bit of tinkering i decided i wanted atleast snow leo so i tried iAtkos S3. tinkered with different settings, and nothing. i installed it, booted and KP, then i tried booting with -v. and its stuck with " System uptime in nanoseconds: 13257348899". I'm willing to try any other distro aslong as i can install the iso/dmg to my flashdrive ( to boot from) please any help would be appreciated.

I know my cpu only supports 32 bit so im not concerned about that.

cpu is: Intel Core Duo T2050

mobo chipset: i945GM

southbridege: 82801GHM (ICH7-M/U)

1.5gb Ram DDR2

I installed to an aspire 5685 a long long time ago and I seem to recall I needed a modified bios file otherwise I had to boot with cpus=1. I may be remembering that incorrectly as it was seriously a long time ago but it may give you something to go on.

alright thanks, ive been reading another users posts (poopmonkey) His Topics. and from what i gather his laptop is very close to mine, im currently downloading the ideneb 10.5.8 lite he talks about. im going to try that while this gets resolved. also booting my 10.6.3 install ( installed with iatkos s3) if i use the arch=i386 -f -v command ( recommended by malad0n ) i get it to boot into the welcome video, i hear the sound, but i cant get video. only a white/silver screen.
