Hi Guys.

A Finally managed to but hazard 10.6.2 operating on my machine.

It´s a Phenom II X4 955

ECS A790-GXM-AD3

4 GB DDR 3

Saphire HD4670 1Gb

But, I´m facing some problems , I´ve already looked for solution in many foruns, but it still not working.

So, The system only functions on 32 bits, I tryed to boot with busratio=20 arch=x86_64, And the system only boots on 32 bits. Sometimes, I have kernel panic when I try this, but sometimes, it ignores arch=x86_64 .

The other problem is I Can´t put ATI card to function Acelerated; I´ve tryed some kexts found on kexts.com, but It always boots as GPU, and the maximum resolution I can achieve is 1440x1050( usin X86 tools strings).

I Tryed to update to 10.6.8( combo update) and afterwars( before restarting) apply the modified kernel for this, but, after de restart, appears :

PCI CONFIGURATION BEGIN, and reboots

IF I use the string pci=1, it says :

PCI CONFIGURATION BEGINS

console 1024x768 @0xd0000000

The ATi card has the id : 0x94901002

I´ve already lost my weakend trying to put things ok ;)

My intention is to use Adobe photoshop m and withou 64bits and the graphics cards acelerated, its frustrating.

Someone has any clues for me ??

Sorry for the bad english, I a Brasilian Guy :)

Any help would be very apreciatted .

Marcos

Ok im going to try to help seeing how I have a similar setup (See sig). First to fix the PCI Configuration Begin error Follow the link below to another post about that same issue, I posted how to fix that issue there. Its pretty simple.

Next issue, I assume your using the latest Legacy_Kernel from Nawcom. In that case you cannot boot that kernel using "arch=x86_64" I have tried time and time again and it doesn't work. according to other posts floating around the best you can do is "arch=i386 -force64"

Also allot of people dont know that your "busratio=X" command is supposed to be your CPU Multiplier, example mine is "busratio=16". too high and you could damage the computer, too low and you'll loose performance.

What kind of ATi Video card do you have?

And anyone feel free to correct me of im wrong, I'm basing this all off of my personal experiences.
