Hi everybody!

I'm new on the forum and I hope I'm not posting in the wrong section.

I'ld like to dual boot Lion and Ubuntu on my desktop and I'm looking for some advices because I can't decide for the best solution.

My configuration is made of an ASUS P5E MB, Intel® Core™2 Quad CPU Q9550, 4GB ram ddr2, Ati HD 4850.

I've got 2 identical HDD (160gb each) and an additional HDD for storage (500 gb).

Until now I only had windows 7 installed on a Fakeraid RAID0 array (160+160).

From what I've read on the forum, there are no MAC drivers for fakeRAID, so I suppose I can't dual boot from different volumes of the same RAID array.

I'ld prefer a native install of Ubuntu so I'm excluding virtual machines.

The only two possible solutions I see are:

- Forget about Raid and install each OS on a different HD.

- Use RAID for the first OS (ex. Lion) and install Ubuntu on a partition of the storage HD.

Do you have any other advices?

Which is for you the best solution in terms of performances?
