jgrade
So I have a Gigabyte s =-series Core2 duo mobo. GA-P35-DS3L on the side of the box it also says intel p35/ich9/rev.2.0. I also use the nvidia 8800GT, and my new card the msi GTX560 Ti is currently pulled out, thinking it was a source of the problems. I have 3 Hard Drives. 320 WD, 75 raptor, 75 raptor, During my attempts at installing mac I unplug the other two drives. And even tried to move the boot order, and cambles. I am following this guide...http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=180954 I am following several different instructions because I am unable to get past a screen. I change my bio to how his looks. USB interaction was already on. 64b and ACHI was turned on in bios. I then Insert my GA-EP45-Ds3L Boot Cd v1.14. I then insert my 10.6 retail DVD which was copied for my use. I am then hit with these messages. Loading Darwin Loading Mach-Kernel Cannot Find Mach_Kernal I cannot go any farther than that. I have tried I-boot and one other program to no avail. I saw somewhere else that the Mach-Kernal should be placed onto the harddrive. I also wiped my raptor harddrive for this in FAT32 ibelieve. How do I move the Mach-Kernal to where it should be or are there any more options. I do not have a previous install of Mac this computer. My question is ; Did i mess up the burning of the OSX leopard dvd? I also heard another suggestion. Sudo vi /Extra/com.apple.Boot.plist <------didn't work or type something like Mach_Kernel ----Didn't work Type -x or -v = still no boot Any help is greatly appreciated, even if you dumb it down! It all helps me to understand.
