KHIT
Hi I have recently installed Mac OS X 10.6.3 on my laptop. The computer has, according to windows, a Synaptics ClickPad v7.4, but when booting OS X in verbose mode, it tells me that my VoodooPS2TrackPad is Synaptics TouchPad v7.4. This has resulted in that I'm unable to make a click with the trackpad when booted into OS X. after installation, I needed to plug in a USB mouse to go into system preferences and under the trackpad settings enable the "tap" functionallity to be able to click with the trackpad. But except for this two-finger scrolling works just like on real macs. How do I fix the problem with the clickpad recognized as a touchpad? Has there been made a version compatible with 64-bit OS X 10.6.8 and 10.7.x Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/270918-trackpad-not-correctly-recognized/ Share on other sites
KHIT
Is there really nobody who can tell me how to get my trackpad recognized as a clickpad, and not a touchpad. it's really irritating to have to tap everytime I want to click in OS X. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/270918-trackpad-not-correctly-recognized/#findComment-1765497 Share on other sites
Astarael
Got the same issue with Synaptics ClickPad v 8.0 on Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E420s. Try using VoodooPS2Mouse instead of VoodooPS2Trackpad plugin - you sould be able to click in two "tap zones" (like on win7 with no synaptics driver installed). No 2finger click as right click, no multitouch (if you had any). I guess the only way here is modding VoodooPS2 kexts to get something like "VoodooPS2Clickpad". Any volonteer having too much of free time?
