viriiman
So my mini was happily running 10.5 when just about 30 mins ago, the volume control on my apple keyboard stopped working. When I try and go into System Preferences to check the audio section, I get pinwheeled and go no further. When I create a second (temporary) account, everything works fine with that account (I can raise and lower sound from the keyboard and go into all of System Preferences) I have run "repair disk permissions" and a "verify disk", but they haven't helped (nor did they turn up anything). I also found in Activity Monitor then when I log in, I have one task in red. The task is: 494 loginwindow (Not Responding) SJobs 0.00 3 4.11 MB 669.85 MB PowerPC Hope this helps, and TIA viriiman Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/27090-sound-works-but-cant-change-volume-from-keyboard/ Share on other sites
