H00ch
Greetings. Just installed Max 10.6.8 on amd. Please help me to figure out why 570 works fully under Mac's safe mode(-x GraphicsEnabler=Yes), right identification etc. without dsdt or any other tricks. Just Nvidia Quadro's drivers. http://itmages.com/image/view/310466/1b69102b When trying normal mode with GraphicsEnabler=Yes boot process goes as usual, but when its time to show desktop – system reboots. Normal mode with GraphicsEnabler=No boots to desktop. Bad card identification, right id,manufacturer, nothing strange for this mode at all. http://itmages.com/image/view/310468/686d9ad4 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/270815-gtx570/ Share on other sites

CooSee
did you try with GaphicsEnabler= <--- neither yes or no ! ? which Graphic Card Manufacturer you have ? from the mentioned thread Just added vendor id to preinstalled 10.7 GM NVDAGF100Hal.kext/Contents/Info.Plist try this Version of Chameleon Chameleon 2.1 r 1627VS ! you must register for Download and with newer Versions of Chameleon you must rename com.apple.Boot.plist to org.chameleon.Boot.plist !!! DON'T FORGET TO BACKUP ( e.g. Carbon Copy Cloner + Chameleon on the Backup HD ) BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING no Guarantee CooSee ' Ya Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/270815-gtx570/#findComment-1763459 Share on other sites
H00ch
did you try with GaphicsEnabler= <--- neither yes or no ! Yes, result same as with 'No'. which Graphic Card Manufacturer you have ? LeadTek, reference. Updated Chameleon, not helped :'( Vendor id added some time ago I think there is some conflict between .kexts, if safe mode makes it work. GraphicsEnabler=Yes and without NVidia drivers = boot ok(result same as with 'No') Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/270815-gtx570/#findComment-1763478 Share on other sites

CooSee
you're Welcome , i don't know much about AMD, but anyway according to your kernel.log, your System is messed up there are many errors like Not loading kext com.apple.nvidia.nvGF100hal - not found and kextd not available in early boot. Can't load kext com.apple.nvidia.nvGF100hal - link failed Failed to load executable for kext com.apple.nvidia.nvGF100hal Kext com.apple.nvidia.nvGF100hal failed to load (0xdc008016) Failed to load kext com.apple.nvidia.nvGF100hal (error 0xdc008016) did you repair the permissions with ' KextWizard ' ? it seems also that you have to much kexts you don't need, which Version of Leopard did you install and why not Lion ? my advice, you should do a fresh install and before you change anything, make a Backup, ( e.g. Carbon Copy Cloner + Chameleon on the Backup HD )! no offence but OSX with AMD is pain in the , because you have to use a patched Kernel good luck CooSee ' Ya Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/270815-gtx570/#findComment-1763569 Share on other sites
H00ch
I repair the permissions with the Disk Utility SnowLeo because there is no patched kernel for Lion. People from other forum says that 570+SnowLeo cannot equal "normal work". Sadly. I guess problem solved. Thanks a lot!
