CyberJunker Posted September 8, 2006 Share Posted September 8, 2006 First of all; Hi everyone I'm wondering if I can install OSX 10.4.7 (JaS) on a HFS+ mac drive with already contain datas, without any risks ? May my question is studpid hue but I really take care of these data. And the fact of OSX-Hackintosh-installation, may install a specific boot loader on the HD just make me wonder if there is possibilitie that it crash the partition table. No installation is guaranteed to work; Though if you have installed it already in your system, and it worked, I dont see why it would cause a problem. I would advise you to backup your data first. ~Neo Posted September 8, 2006 Share Posted September 8, 2006 Hm, it shouldn't work because a Mac HDD has a Apple Partition Table (PPC) or a GUID PT (Intel/EFI) and a normal PC has a MBR (Master Boot Record)!
