I have been out of the OSX86 community for over 2 years now. I have done some digging around the forums and some good old fashioned Googling and haven't really been able to find what I'm looking for. I really hope someone could lend a hand jumping back in.

Ok so before I start, heres my setup:

-AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE

-ASROCK M3A770DE

-NB: AMD 770

-SB: AMD SB710

-4GB DDR3

-AMD Radeon HD 6850 1GB GDDR5

From what I have been able to find so far I cannot install Lion due to my AMD processor. I understand that a Kernel compatible with AMD would have to be compiled. To the best of my knowledge there is no such kernel yet, but I cant find a clear answer. Correct Me if I'm wrong there...Please let me be wrong, I would love for there to already be a kernel out.

So that brings me to my next issue, in the mean time I would like to try out Lion in Virtual box, is this possible with iATKOS L1?

Lastly I have a Acer Aspire 5920 that from what I understand, aside from the Bluetooth, is completely compatible with Lion? How would I go about installing it, every guide I have seen require a backup made from a existing mac, which brings be right back to my first question.

Is iATKOS still the same as it was with Leopard? Is iDeneb still around(There site is down right now, and I don't know when it went down). I know I asked allot of questions for one post, but I really hope someone can help point me in the right direction.

Believe it or not I'm actually not a noob, I remember Installing 10.4.4 Tiger using "Forensic equation utilities" on an old 478 north-wood P4. I been into this since PearPC was "big news"...Ahhh Good times...But anyway, I guess missing one release, I got pretty far behind on my Hackintosh skills.

Edit:

I did a little more research and found that "distributions" are kind of frowned upon now, so I crossed out anything I thought would be against DCMA. Sorry about that.

I'm still doing tons of research and Google searches, I like to know what I'm doing inside and out. can anyone provide any good links?
