Zequez
Hi ^^, I have a chipset VIA, which as I understand is not supported by the normal kernel. I tried installing using a DVD of iAtkos, I tried different versions, none of them worked. Also I tried with Empire EFI + retail Snow Leopard DVD, and it also didn't worked. The error I was getting was the `Waiting for root device`. I found that may be caused by a master/slave problem with the disk, which I also tested changing switches with no luck. Here is a picture of a kitten so I can grab your attention. A couple of days ago my fate was restored when I read in this guide: http://prasys.info/2009/08/installing-snow...pard-for-osx86/ that if you have a chipset VIA you get a `Waiting for root device` error. So I searched for a VIA Kext: http://www.kexts.com/view/1139-via_chipset.html http://www.kexts.com/view/1782-superviaata...c0rk007hck.html And that is what I found, but I have no idea of how to add them to the DVD ISO or DMG from Windows. Any help will be greatly appreciated Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/270486-how-can-i-add-a-kext-to-a-dvd-image-in-windows/ Share on other sites
