itunesusa
Hi everyone, I've started my hackintosh project a couple of months ago, actually I installed it the week Lion was released. It took me some time to figure out how to make it all work. Now it's running smoothly - except one big issue: I can't get my display to show its native resolution when hardware acceleration is enabled. OS: OS X Lion 10.7.1 Bootloader: Chameleon 2.1.svn-r1573 TFT: Samsung SyncMaster 225BW Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 4850 Windows and Linux have no problem with my display. There I get my 1680x1050x32@59Hz over DVI and D-Sub. The Apple Software Renderer works with native resolution when I don't patch my ATI4800Controller.kext. There's just too much that depends on hardware acceleration (like vlc, chrome, etc.) so that's no option. Thanks to Netkas' exotic patch I have full QE/CI with my card but the only working mode is 1280x1024. Any mode else turns off the display - except 1680x1050x32@75Hz via SwitchResX, but this one makes my desktop look like made with Lego. The pixel clock seems to high in this case. I've also tried a lot of manual tweaking with SwichResX (CVT-RB, CVT, GTF at 59, 60 and 75 Hz, different pixel clocks,…). What surprises me most is the EDID. It's the same as in Windows or Linux, still it's not working with these values. Does someone what I'm doing wrong? I appreciate any comment.
