ati 6850 working in lion with P8Z68-V

for people who had problems with this card XFX ATI RADEON 8650 Black Edition, as I once did, this is how i got acceleration to work:

 

1) osx lion natively picked up the card as a ATI Radeon HD 6xxxx (awesome)

2) acceleration didnt work highest resolution i could get was on the 12xx X something

3) added the following lines to my boot plist file:

 

 

<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>

<string>Yes</string>

<key>AtiConfig</key>

<string>Zonalis</string>

 

and after that it worked perfect thanks to the guys in #lion IRC. specially Fuego and Galaxy

 

this all on a Asus P8Z68-v motherboard.

 

just my .02 cents... if there's another way or i didnt have to, or whatever else, good power to you, but this is the way i got it to work and i'm happy
