PointAndClick
I've had a (mostly) working install for quite some time but I recently set out to get a few of the odds and ends that never worked functioning such as shutdown, sleep, and speedstep. I've managed to get everything but sleep working, but had an occasional KP on startup. Usually restarting would allow me to boot, but after having my rig shutdown all weekend and going to start it up today I can't get it to go. The details of my rig are: MSI X58m i7 920 6gb OCZ 9600 GSO 384MB fully working with graphics enabler 640GB WD drive 80GB spare used for backup install old ide dvd burner 10.6.8 Chimera v1.5.4 I have always used Digital Dreamer's script with this build and the current kexts are from his latest release with the exception of the FakeSMC plugins from the latest #####. My installed kexts are as follows Kexts_For_Extra: ACPIMonitor FakeSMC IntelCPUMonitor IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector JMicron36xATA SuperIOFamily Kexts_For_System: AppleHDADisabler HDAEnabler IONetworkingFamily RealtekRTL81xx_Lnx2Mac VoodooHDA I also have my DSDT with removed CPU Alias' and HPET fix. Here's the output. Is there a way to get the actual log file on a hackintosh? PointAndClick
I am able to get it to boot in 32bit but there is still some complaint about unsupported chip. I had been running it in 64 bit fine previously. UPDATE: After having the machine running for a while in 32bit I rebooted and it started up in 64bit. This is getting a bit irritating as things seem to work fine when they want to work, but every once in a while they just don't want to. Komano
VoodooHDA is causing the Kernel Panics. VoodooHDA sometimes doesn't play well with other kexts. What version of VoodooHDA are you using? PointAndClick
It's the one from digital_dreamer's latest script v6.51. The file size is 446k. I'll try the older VoodooHDA that I had been using and see what happens. Komano
I don't know what version of VoodooHDA and i'm lazy to go find out. You should try the latest version for VoodooHDA. http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=355. PointAndClick
I found a 64bit version of VoodooHDA. So far after a couple reboots it seems to be working.
