theaussiepea
I'm trying to get a Broadcom 4306 miniPCI card (aka Dell 1350) to work with 10.4.6 For some reason, the networkinterfaces.plist file is missing from its usual location. Could someone PM so we can exchange the file via email? Thanks!
Rammjet
The networkinterfaces.plist file is generated when your system recognizes your networking devices. It is different for each computer. Using someone else's wouldn't work very well. Have you added your device id to the IO80211Family.kext as shown in the guide: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=23684
theaussiepea
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I started with the tutorial. The IO80211Family.kext file was already modified with the correct lines. However, the wireless device is not recognized and there are no airport options. I thought I would try switching the en0 and en1 in the NetworkInterfaces.plist file as recommended in the tutorial, but there is no such file anywhere on the computer. In the Network section of the System Configuration, it just lists "Built-in Ethernet" and nothing else. There are no options or settings in my bios regarding wireless or miniPCI devices. Any other suggestions?
