Hello everyone,

I'm currently a beginner at learning the OSx86 project and I have successfully installed Mac OS X Snow Leopard on my Gateway T-6345u using iAtkos s3. I have successfully installed all the necessary kexts/drivers to get the machine up and running very smoothly EXCEPT: The bootup (kernel panic)

It appears that every 1 out of 2 times I turn on the machine. it gives me a kernel panic. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't (Note that I didn't change anything between the working bootup and the nonworking bootup) What I DID find out was that by booting in Verbose mode "boot -v" seems to fix the kernel panic if I consecutively get it. Can someone explain to me why booting in verbose always works for me but booting normally sometimes doesn't work?

Isn't Verbose mode the same as normal boot except it shows the actual process visually? How is it different and how can I fix this issue? (kernel panics randomly at bootup)

Thank you for your time and support, it is greatly appreciated! :)

I've actually been having the same issue too. It must be related to the GUI boot mode.

Are you using a custom Chameleon theme? I've reset mine to the default (I don't see it anyway as I have quiet boot enabled). Will see if that changes anything.

No, I'm not using any type of Chameleon theme, best of luck to you! I'm also trying to update Mac OS X to see if maybe that'll resolve any issues, though, I currently do not know how to update via iAtkos (I'm running 10.6.3) I want to get the App Store :(
