baoshi
I just bought RocketRaid 3120, my first true H/W raid card, pair with 2x1TB samsung HDD, on GA-EP45-DS3LR I have pre-installed Lion 10.7.1 on a SSD direct connected to MB SATA port. But ever since I plug in the RAID card, Lion stops boot and stalls at waiting for root device step. Did a -v boot and along with "still waiting for root device", I see an error message "IOP controller firmware not ready". This is regardless of whether the 2x1TB is connected to the controller or not. The same controller works well with Windows. I also tried ##### CD but the PC automatic restart during loading. Any help are appreciated. baoshi
update: with GTX285 on EP45-DS3LR, add npci=0x2000 solve the "IOP firmware not ready" issue. Later I changed graphics to H5770, npci=0x2000 no longer work So I switched to P35-DS3R, everything works again.
