Hey guys, i have a VAIO eb series that has a core i3 350m, ati 5650m, hm55 express and 4 gb ram. I have successfully installed Snow Leopard using tonymac's ##### method, using ##### legacy but i cannot successfully update my system to either 10.6.7 or 10.6.8. If i try to simply install the 10.6.8 or 10.6.7 update SL gives me a kernel panic at the end when it says Moving items into place, it says something like 4 args on potential stack. For 10.6.8: to prevent that i have deleted the single file inside IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext's Mac OS folder. Somebody at tonymac's forum recommended it to me. Now I can update successfully but when i restart after running ##### the system gets stuck on PCI Configuration begin. To prevent that I used this method http://3rr0rists.net/guides/fix-all-issues...s-x-10-6-8.html, and replaced the 2 updated USB kexts with the ones from 10.6.0, the ones that were installed initially without which the usb ports do not work. When I restart my system, SL opens up after the Apple loading screen, but i am greeted with only blackness. SL is working i can tell that since i can shut down or restart my pc using keyboard shortcuts, but there is no display. Its strange since i have never seen anybody with a similiar problem. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

OMG!!! i had the same problem! you see i used legacy kernel and it was titled "legacy_kernel-10.6.8.pkg" i thought that that was for 10.6.8... but it wasn't it's for 10.6.5 or 10.6.6 the one you need to be looking for is titled "legacy_kernel-10.8.0.v2.pkg" it tricked me too, for as far as i know you might haft to re-install snowleopard and then use the right legacy kernel but atleast you will know how to do it right. i really hope this helps!
