Aaron44126
I've got OS X 10.7 working in VMware Workstation 8 with Donk's new unlocker. This is an upgrade from a Workstation 7 install and I've got only one major issue. The mouse! When I move the mouse past the edge of the VMware window, it should smoothly transition back over to the host OS. However, instead, VMware just sucks the mouse back and it reappears in the center of the OS X window. So, I can't get VMware to release the mouse... Ctrl+Alt doesn't even work. (If I move it out of the window over and over and over, eventually it "escapes.") Wondering if anyone else running Workstation 8 has the issue, does not have this issue, or has any advise. If it's just me... I guess I'll do a clean install of Lion and see if that takes care of it. Thanks! xwired
I had this issue as well and after a long time stumbling around trying to fix this...I found the fix! At least it works for me. In VMware Workstation 8, click on Edit > Preferences and click Input. Uncheck "Grab keyboard and mouse input on key press" Your mouse should now smoothly transition from your VM to your host.
