Installing using Kakewalk to install Lion.

GA-X58A-UD5

Intel i7 920

Nvidia GeForce 9800 GTX+

Which mobo do I select that is closest to the one I have?

Can I do dual monitors with that graphics card?

******* UPDATE**********

I have almost zero patience. So I choose the GA-EX58A-UD5 hoping the extra "E" wasn't going to blow my rig up.

Kakewalk worked!

I am up, the drivers for the video look good. I have tried hooking the 2nd monitor yet. Ethernet, USB & Firewire seem good.

Only problem is AUDIO - NO SOUND

Using Sys info I get this.....

Intel High Definition Audio:

Audio ID: 885

S/PDIF Optical Digital Audio Output:

Connection: Internal

Line Output:

Connection: 1/8-Inch Jack

External Microphone / iPhone Headset:

So any ideas on getting Audio working?

According to the specs of my Mobo it has a Realtek ALC889 codec

I am really pumped up. The main reason for me doing this is my eldest is a Freshman in High school and taking "Video Production". The class uses exclusivly Mac's. They start off with iMovie and work up to Final Cut Pro. I want to give him a chance to bring some of that school work home if needed and heck, I was at the Apple store. One of those nice MACBOOK PRO's might be in the works for Xmas if his grades hold up :thumbsup_anim:
