Posted September 17, 2011 Share Posted September 17, 2011 i've been able to build my first hackintosh with these steps: Installation - Downloaded [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] 2.7, Mulitbeast 3.3 - Downloaded F11 DSDT file found here: DSDT/Database/DSDT-GA-P55M-UD2-F11.aml - Burned [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] to CD, copied [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] and custom DSDT found in database to USB thumbdrive - Update BIOS to F11 - Enable optimized settings - Change HPET to 64-bit - Set CD-ROM as 1st boot device Installing Mac OS X - Boot from [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] CD, switch to Mac OSX Install DVD and press F5 - Then boot OSX Install DVD - Create Partition with GUID scheme - Install - Reboot - Boot from [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] CD - Install 10.6.8 Combo Update (DO NOT REBOOT!) - Copy DSDT.aml from thumbdrive onto Desktop Run [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] : Settings : - UserDSDT Install - System Utilities -> Rebuild Caches -> Repair Permissions - Drivers & Bootloaders -> Kexts & Enablers -> Audio -> Realtek ALC8xx -> ALC8xxHDA & AppleHDA Rollback -> Disk -> JMicron36x -> JMicron 36x ATA -> Miscellaneous -> FakeSMC & FakeSMC Plugins -> Bootloaders -> Chimera - Customization -> Boot Options -> 64-bit GraphicsEnabler=No -> System Definitions -> Mac Pro -> MacPro 3,1 -> Install Lnx2Mac's Realtek driver. so far, everything looks great, but i don't have any resolution options other than 1024x768. i'm not sure where to start troubleshooting since [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] only has drivers for ATI. ideas? btw... i'm connected with a vga cable to a LG monitor that does 1920x1080 on my PC ii've tried booting with graphicsenabler=yes and no luck. i also tried to install drivers from nvidia's site with no luck. update: edited /System/Library/Extensions/NVDANV50Hal.kext/Contents/Info.plist with my card device id repaired permissions using kext utility and rebooted... no dice. used efi studio to add my card to the com.apple.boot.plist file and rebooted... no dice. can someone please help me? a point to note...even though i added it to the boot.plist using efi studio, the graphics card shows up as "gpu" but the device ID and vendor ID are fine. thouhgts?
