trueinsider
Hello, I am extremely new to Hackintosh so I dont know many things. I want to install 10.6.3 from my retail dvd and then update it to 10.6.8. My system configuration is: Processor: AMD Athlon II X4 645 Motherboard: ASRock M3N78D (nForce 720D chipset) Graphics: Gainward GeForce GTX 460 1024MB Golden Sample series Sound: VIA VT1718S (integrated to motherboard) Network: NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller Also I have Windows 7 Ultimate x64 system (separate hdd) and want multiboot. So my question is: What kernel/kexts/tools/other things I need to download and how to install it all? And how to update properly to 10.6.8 after install? You can just give me some links with this information. Thanks. Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/267999-amd-where-to-start/ Share on other sites
sirbow2
wow thats a tough mobo, not much info see here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...5569&st=680 at post #684 and #685 use hazard which is like kalyway in its "customize" button, but it is a retail install. im not sure on your GFX though. but i looked it up quick and i think if you don't select any GFX kexts during install, and then afterwards install the latest chameleon to your HDD and download the latest OSX drivers from nvidia it should work. more info here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=214219 since hazard is retail, you should be able to replace the kernel, do a software update, then reboot and it should work let me know if you need more help Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/267999-amd-where-to-start/#findComment-1748943 Share on other sites
